A question we hear early on is whether ManaGEM replaces Sage or Xero. It does not. ManaGEM is where the work is run, from enquiry to invoice. Sage Accounting or Xero stays where the books are kept, and your accountant keeps working in it the way they do today.
What lives in ManaGEM
- Enquiries, quotes and the sales pipeline
- Jobs, bookings, foremen and progress
- Stock, purchase orders and factory builds
- Invoices raised from the job, and debtors with ageing, interactions and statements
What moves to Sage or Xero
Invoices raised in ManaGEM post to Sage Accounting or Xero with their net amount, VAT and total. Each invoice shows its sync state, so it is clear which have synced, which are pending and which need attention.
Products can be kept in step too: they can be synced from Sage or Xero rather than typed in twice.
What stays in Sage or Xero
The ledger, the financial statements and everything your accountant does at month end. ManaGEM does not ask them to change tools.
Why split it this way
Accounting software is built for the books. A contractor’s day is built around jobs. Keeping each system on the job it does best means the office works from the job, and the accountant still gets clean invoices in Sage or Xero.
